(Since 2002 the English version has not been consistent with the German page)
We all leave traces somewhere in the web. Google caches them all. And many, many server keep old, rotten pages which give prove of past. Our traces in the web also reflect changes in our opinions and reveals ambiguity in our thinking. Ambivalence which can be avoided by careful editing all pages again and again (such as perfectionists as I do).
We cannot edit pages in Google's cache and postings we have written down in a hurry. Isn't that the same with every snippet of communication we leave somewhere? Imagine all spoken words would be recorded. I probably do not want to hear that. But I am working on being consistent. My ideal is
- to state things clearly, openly and honestly.
- in a way the most important statements could be put on my website.
I do not believe, that this will lead to boring and phony statements, but I do not want to bore you with meta-discussions and meta-thoughts. Just listen to me, read my e-mails and my postings and remind me of my own philosophy (if necessary).
My very first website has been hosted by a friendly provider - and was still accessible (and editable) long after my contract has been terminated) So many thanks to all you pioneers of the non-commercial roots of the internet! If you change my username / password sometime - please also delete these pages!
